Looking for a supplier of a tilting coupler. I know there is Exac one, Hemac ect but not many others about is there? My customer is looking for one to fit a Bobcat E10.
Any pointers would be appreciated
I wouldn't recommend one on an E10 as the sole hitch. It sort of works, but there's precious little loadover height with a normal hitch, never mind a tilt type. Really not suitable for a micro IMHO, at least not as a permanent fitment. It'll loose you more time than it saves overall. Dumper position is already critical when using a normal hitch on the E10, the tilt hitch makes it even worse to the point of being impossible. I'd look at the little Scandinavian 10 degree tilt couplers if it's to be a permanent fitment. If he wants to try a helac type on an E10 first I'm in Sussex if that helps.
Saying that, I do fit my Powertilt to the E10 occasionally. I have even been known to run mine
under the Q/H- when the job warrants it. On this job, we had to put a ditch in through a swamp. You would be down to your thighs in places where seep lines ran if you weren't careful, and it was full of willow. Went for the 'surgical strike'- E10 with rollbar removed, a truckload of 6' posts and two willing (initially, until the novelty wore off!) labourers. Absoloute bitch of a job, but in a day we put in a decent ditch through 300m of running swamp that you could barely walk on, and only used two tanks of fuel in the chainsaw. The tilt hitch was a must, as a lot of the time I was having to pull the ditch at 45 degrees cause of a tree in the way or some such. The extra reach was very useful too, and it handled it well if driven with care.
In the first pic you can see the mess I made taking out whole willow trees and using them as a brash mat for the E27. Wasn't sure about switching to a smaller machine and labourers but definitely the right thing in this instance.
