No Problem Buddy, we haven't got the thumbs on there, they wouldn't be one of of main products, probably have only done 10-12 as and when asked.
I do know a good welder in your area though, worked with him and is well used to working on plant machinery. He has setup on his own, i,m pretty sure he is mobile too!

The guy I spoke with said his brother does most of the mobile stuff and his name was Jamie, so maybe it's the same person.

It's not him, I just spoke with him. His gear is off site at the moment, so I need to take the machine to him.

He just replied. He didn't know what a thumb was, so I sent a picture. He would have to look at it before he quoted, but wants me to get the digger to him. I'll see what the others say.

I came to the conclusion that this was a boulder field from a glacial recession millenia ago ... all virgin ground at this depth .. and these were littler ones

I originally had a manual thumb and soon wished I went for the hydraulic one. Make sure it folds back completely or it will be a pain in the arse when grading. At least I can drop the manual one off when not needed.

Legitimately the best response here. Had a KX080 Kubota on hire once with the most hidious thumb ever (Keen).... took it off in the end.

I was thinking of a manual one, but think it's worth the extra for the hydraulic one. I'll check with them that it folds back completely.

for the extra cost of hydraulic, it’s a no brainier. No getting off, and the perfect angle each time. I even have a hydraulic stay on my grapple.

I've got an rsl fixed thumb on a 13tonner,
Not sure how I managed without it really. Once you get the hang of the angles etc to pick things up it's easy.
Mines taken some stick really prob move 20/30 ton of scrap a day with it and any other odds and sods on the farm with it, logs boulders etc
