need to get a hydraulic quick connect to go on these hoses, internal diameter looks to be 24ish mm. Anyone link me the correct make and female quick connects to buy

also does it matter which hose gets the male side on a breaker?

Don't complain - suggest what's better
I don't use a breaker, but use the auxilary circuits a lot and you want to buy genuine Holmbury flat faced couplers. They last many times longer than cheap knock offs.
The easy answer to which way round is pick your breaker up and see how it is plumbed and go with that.

They used to put an arrow on flat face couplers for flow direction but don't seem to bother any more. Tbh it ain't gonna matter on that size machine either way but if the male end on the arm is the flow (if using a breaker) that's the way round i run all mine.

It’s what I do!
Normally from the cab left hand coupling male fed oil, right hand coupling female return, the hose looks like it may be BSP @ 24mm probably 3/4 bsp.

If it's like the JCB minis I have driven then the return will be bigger than feed. Usually 1/2 for feed and 3/4 for return
Pipes maybe, most other makes don't bother though and i certainly wouldn't be buying a 3/4 coupling for the return side.

I know it's not worth it if starting afresh but it would save Fred buying extra couplings if they are already fitted. It's how they come out the factory and it's what JCB breakers come with even though they are only 1/2 return pipes on the breaker

😊 yeh some do fit a bigger pipe and hose size on the return, and then they fit both with same size couplings on the ends ends!

I had a breaker on the 100C last week, it came out with 1/2” both sides. Didn’t seem to make any difference to the breaker, it tore through some substantial and very hard sections. We also hired in a Rhino 7000 and it struggled with some of the concrete even when it was broken down to six or seven inch lumps.
