wouldn't it have been cheaper to hire a little kerb grab to move them can get them that will lift 100kgs and don't put out to much clamping pressure. little sling off your dipper to the grab and away you go. would only pick up one at time but might work out quicker with less manual handling

You'll still have to manual handle them for your grab tho unless it's gonna be able to pick up a full course of blocks from the pack. But if you're that short of amusement go for it
