Got this on demo for a week, seems ok so far. First time on a duck so not got anything similar to compare it to. Anyone else on here running one?
So what are your final conclusions? Will you be buying one?Got this on demo for a week, seems ok so far. First time on a duck so not got anything similar to compare it to. Anyone else on here running one?
Or two?So what are your final conclusions? Will you be buying one?

What controls have you on the 3cx?I
I quite liked it.
Visibility from the cab was great, could see all around no problem.
Felt very stable, had a 42” bucket full of topsoil over the side at full reach no problem.
Digging power was good, the extra weight over the 3CX meant it was well planted and didn’t just pull yourself about in hard ground.
The controls weren’t as smooth as my new 3CX. Also when slewing right and pulling the dipper in it slowed down, was ok slewing right though. Handles just didn’t feel right. Could’ve been wear though, it had 4700 hours.
Was quick on the road, a bit slower than the 3CX on hills but would keep up on the flat.
Won’t be buying one just now, just bought a new 3CX. Would consider one in the future though.
Servos, this one’s a lot smoother than my last one. The old one wasn’t bad but there is a difference. Or maybe I’m getting better at driving itWhat controls have you on the 3cx?
That’s good to hear, unfortunately the lever version has always been diabolical in my view.Servos, this one’s a lot smoother than my last one. The old one wasn’t bad but there is a difference. Or maybe I’m getting better at driving it![]()
I started off on a 2005 machine with sticks which was good, then had a 60 plate on servos which was crap then an 11 plate with sticks which was a complete pig to grade with. That’s good to hear, unfortunately the lever version has always been diabolical in my view.

That’s right, electric on Hydradig felt different, wouldn’t say they were bad though. The Hydradig is not oil over oil servos, as I understand it. They are electric sticks. Is this why they felt different? Your 3CX is oil over oil servos I presume?
