Don't complain - suggest what's better
I may even stick a set of road tyres on the 6t when the current set wear out as I have no intention of using it on demanding sitework.
I'm surprised you don't see more on road tyres. Lots of jobs they spend all their time on tarmac.

I can get the Road Registered machine, stick a driver on it at £35/hr and it earns. And trust me you will burn a set of tyres on road work in a month if your moving gear!
Burn a set of tyres on a dumper in a month??

Yeah must be made of chocolate
Yeh somethings not right??......we’ve had the same dumpers going up and down the motorway for months and months at a time bet they do 12/13 miles a day and they still look the same.

Dumper on a 10 hr workday running on tarmac 5-7 days a week.... soon eats em! I suppose if you brought more expensive rubber it'd last longer but tbh, at £160/week.....
As said Rory, we’ve had them on the motorway doing big miles 7 days a week, 50 weeks a year and just the same tyres from the factory nothing special, just from GAP, SPEEDY or A-Plant

Up to 6 ton tyres are on but the trouble is with 9/10 ton dumper tyres is no manufacturer actually makes a dedicated tyre in the right size. So what you end up with is flotation tyres for silage trailers there not actually rated for the load on the front of a dumper. Why i don't have a dumper over 6 ton if i need bigger i hire, saves buying tyres

I've seen what i've seen, you've seen what you have seen. ;) lots of variables but I'd not be hiring in plant if I saw there where cost benefits in running good second hand units.

Hey Rory all this talk about dumper tyres remind me that I have a brand new set of 4 x BZTs on a pallet to fit to my skip loader

Photo show high speed cornering 😅
So this will be one of the jobs to get done while we have to 'stay at home' ;)
The originals that come with the dumper are all beaten up and perished but still do a days work :p
