Funny enough I've just been looking at some new Insulated stuff for winter.
Portwest winter suit
Pulsar all in 1 with additional thinsulate liner
Not sure what to get at moment
I've got the Harkie smock but all day in rain and it does get wet inside although not soaking. We get issued pulsar kit. I have the big winter coat and it's alright in most weather but in the real vilest stuff it gets a bit soggy. Also the quality isnt outstanding. The material is good but could do with triple stitched seams and high Vis banding let's go.
It 10x better than some of the stuff I've had and definitely grateful for the company spending the money on it but if I was out in it all day every day still, I would probably buy another harkie.
My innovation 2 smock lasted 3 years without letting a drop of water in and even then it only started below the elbows where I presume the waterproofing got rubbed off.
I think it was about 5 years old when I got given the first pulsar so got rid of it.
WiserHeated jackets! How soft are we getting!
I think I'd sweat a lot ?Wiser
Was thinking the same. But I guess if you work on a north sea oil rig they'd be pretty niceI think I'd sweat a lot ?
Be great on a open machine etc but for manual work reckon be too hot?
