Never used one, but Macnaught do a 'grease nipple unblocker'.
Instructions say to use light oil.

I`ve got something, very similar to that, and use penetrating oil in it, it`s OK if not the magic cure, the sales blurb on the pack says, but saying that having it, it`s worth a try using it as it is quick and easy. Some times the is no substitute for heat.
