GB150, 1.5m can do you one at the old price of £950That looks smart what sort of price and dimensions is it
I'm no expert in grading beams but imagine that it would leave a better finish it it had flat bottom like an RSJ as opposed to the pointed bottom s of that?maybe a stupid idea but just walked past this tonight and thought it could do as a grading beam? The 3 point linkage bracket is detachable so it would just be a matter of making a bracket to suit the digger?

It leaves a perfect finish with the tractor, so was thinking it should be the same on digger? If not I could weld or bolt a flat plate onto the rear bar?I'm no expert in grading beams but imagine that it would leave a better finish it it had flat bottom like an RSJ as opposed to the pointed bottom s of that?
Flat edge cuts into the surface to level whereas pointed bottoms mind tend to ride over any lumpiness instead of flattening it
I would guess that is where the grading beam idea came from. They have been around for tractors for ever.maybe a stupid idea but just walked past this tonight and thought it could do as a grading beam? My thinking exactly, if i got on well with it I would even consider buying a new one, just don’t want to spend money on something that is an unknownI would guess that is where the grading beam idea came from. They have been around for tractors for ever.
I think it would be worth a try, but think you might bend it with the digger pretty quickly. It allow you to try it and see if you like the idea though for very little effort or cost.
you won't regret building a decent beamMy thinking exactly, if i got on well with it I would even consider buying a new one, just don’t want to spend money on something that is an unknown
