Might as well go to the auction yourself then.I bought a kubota from them years ago. We're fine to deal with. Machine was good. Was warned about them afterwards.
They do alot of buying at auctions and respraying. I would say the warranty is only valid till it leaves the yard but as long as you know that and have a good look at the machine yourself u should be fine
Thing is, we get asked about warranty too nearly every 10 mins. Then we get knocked on price . It’s a fine balance il explain whyI would say the warranty is only valid till it leaves the yard

when it leaves us, how do we know what your doing to it, what fuel is in it etc etc. We sell across the country and how do we warrant a machine in Scotland etc. I always just tell customers we would work with them but you also have to take ownership of the machine. I suppose because we don’t really buy at auction ( unless desperate ) means we get better stock so we don’t really have to many issues
In our thousands of machine sales we had one guy try to back a machine in finance after 6 months and more recently we had a guy not pay the transport bill because the hitch they wanted fitted to a 3cx ( we offered hill , they wanted Geith) and the fittings were about 6 inches to long) that was apparently our issue . So they wanted genuine JCB metal hoses at our cost. Despite not wanting the jcb hitch as it was 4k … i do my best to look after everybody but there are limits.
I also recall a time where a guy sold a old machine and got a newer one and it diddnt have the power of his old. I found a subby fitter nearby who went out with hydraulic filters but no hydraulic oil and used the customers etc and made us look a right crap outfit . The fitter said he diddnt and the customer said he did. How do we win . Bloody diggers it doesn’t take long with £40 a hour labour out of our control to erode quite a thin margin already
I know this is a post from a year ago, but just came across it and have experience of Gleneden Plant from 2021 which may be useful to others who come across this. I would never go back again. They were selling loads of fleet transit vans from a couple of companies. From a construction firm and water board although they may have all been ex lease from the same supplier. I needed a newer van and they had loads all 4-5 year old at varying prices. It about 2 hours from me but I went to have a look as I own loads of plant too (dumpers, diggers, etc). Most vans had all had a hard life as you would expect and in various conditions/mileages and kitted out with specific extras. Some had been sprayed. I found one that looked ok, but when I enquired was told it was already reserved. As such I left to mull over another and see if they get any others in. A couple of days later I got a call saying the one I liked was now available afterall.Does anyone on here have any experience with the above company? Agri sales still seem to shift loads….….and folk still think in this day and age they can treat potential customers like this and it not effect future sales…! Dinosaurs!!
Might as well get it straight from the auction then....Bought a 6t doosan of them a year or 2 ago. Easy to deal with, machine was as I expected for the price I paid and hadn’t been touched up despite needing it in places. I’d hate to be a dealer selling old stuff to people expecting no problems. Surely most stuff with hours on it has or could be coming to problems, it’s the reason most of the machines are in the marketplace. With the shite service you get from manufacturer dealers on brand new stuff at over inflated prices I much prefer the honesty of it’s cheap and you take a chance!
