Absolutely .... when I was teaching in '79/'80 academic year, it'd gone to the dogs then - a far cry from the days I spent in the same school, not that many years before, where discipline and respect were the order of the day.The way I see it, they've got some cheek to tax parents further who are paying out of pocket to provide an education system on par with the state systemtwentyFifty years ago. Those parents have already paid extra tax by way of not using the state school place that would otherwise have been allocated to their child- they don't get a tax credit for that.
The country is broken.

Very few were stupid enough to 'cross' the authority of teachers, (or anyone TBH) in my day and were dealt with swiftly, without any parents threatening to 'batter' those responsible for disciplining their 'little darling', whose mouth wouldn't melt butter
Country is ****ed - state education (on the whole) is bolloxed.
we are building about 220000 on average per year ,its all bollocksinteresting figures/statistics in this article

Surely it would be easier to just plant a load of trees to screen Stone Henge from the road to assist with flowing traffic?https://www.theconstructionindex.co.uk/news/view/stonehenge-tunnel-cancelled
"The government has cancelled the A303 Stonehenge tunnel and the A27 schemes."
A space force is strategic. It doesn't mean they are planning for a remake of Starship Troopers, more like counter-measures to stop an enemy from knocking out all the satellites we rely upon. Not just that but we expect so much more of public services now. Look at how many things are expected to be policed now that weren't a thing 20 years ago. Same goes for the NHS. Who would imagine when I was a kid the amount of mental health services required. Right through to sex change operations.
And it's goes through just about every thing government run. We now have a space force within the military for example.

Sex change ops? I can do it cheaper with a pair of half bricks.

I saw the Eagles playing there a week or so after it opened - very impressive place (and an absolutely mega concert - the support act was the Doobie Brothers for farks sake!) but a ridiculous design-lead oversight in that the gents toilets have no urinals(!). Our section had 13 cubicles for several thousand people. You couldnāt go for a pee in the interval, the queue was enormous!!! They had loads of places you could spend all of your money on booze, but no way of getting rid of it to make room for moreā¦UFC was held there Saturday I think
Manchester airport is the same in the new terminal wing , one urinal along the 500meter walk to passport control for all the inbound flights!! Such an idiotic design!!I

It all looks great, nicely finished, beautifully lit, but was definitely designed by a tee-total lady-man.
