this is tidy ..... diesel (unusually for an S50) two speed tranny ; fwd/rev on the column, factory fitted side shift ... looks to be a 13-14 ft lift .. turn on a pin head ... bloody good, bombproof lil' truck .... had one and an S40 and they got about fine on properly compacted planings in me yard ... even better on concrete
no VAT and a cheap asking for one of these .... could do a lot worse

Even on cushion tyres? I’d hold out for something on pneumatics at least for his application.

they're not cushion, they'm solids Doob .... cushion look like pneumatics, but're solid.
any FLT unless it's RT is going to need a good hard, solid surface - end of.
Even pneumatics will not cope with anything but solid ground - nature of the beast.
I ran a 2, couple of 2.5s and a 7.5 tonner on those solids around my acre yard and never had issues - ever .. couldn't charge around like you could on the H80C on pneumatics, but perfectly acceptable traveling about loaded or empty
a conventional balance truck on anything but solid ground just is not going to happen
I could happily use that S50 around my patch -- it's solid enough ground now

Whilst they need hard ground I found pneumatic's cope alot better on uneven ground like cracked concrete or road plannings
Solids cross axle where that little bit of give in a pneumatic let's both wheels stay in contact especially the bigger ones on the 2,5 tonne plus forklifts

agreed, but don't find many little uns on pneumatics .. cushions perhaps, but mostly solids ..... TBH I never had any real issues with ours .... speed is the killer on solids, on poor surfaces .... operate according to conditions and no prob.s

Think it was probably only because i’d sent a message to the seller. They recommend not to deal with the scammers email.... no use when item ended days ago and could already have transferred cash.

funny that because they are very keen on enforcing "listing practices" when the rest of us want to give out contact details or have multiple items for sale.

the bigger bobcat models can get a pack of 72 concrete blocks up 1 lift onto a loading bay. A farmer I built a house for had one which would move a pack ok but more often than not you had to throw some blocks off so you could reach full height without doing an endoe.

manitou do a container spec rough terrain masted truck. Also jcb do a small 4x4 telescopic truck. Both to heavy for an ifor I think but when you sell you'll lose very little if you bought right?

absolutely Con ..... mustard hot on legit sellers....the scammers they don't seem to care about at all .......

if their system was applied to keeping an eye open for other peoples photos, or gear, previously listed and finished, as much as it is for phone numbers, or contact details, there'd be a lot less bogus/spurious/dubious listings, full stop

Yeah, multione/avant would be perfect, sadly bare shell house refurb is going to eat up “toy” budget.

Sorry Graham, don’t often find myself at odds with you, but this is dodgy advice. Propane WILL fill a confined space with fumes and it can kill you. You still get carbon monoxide, but because you can’t smell it you don’t realise how much it’s building. I nearly lost a work colleague like this. He was working on his van, had it up by the back axle while he did the brakes, with the forklift ticking over. His mate keeled first, that was when he realised something was wrong and got the roller doors up. At least with diesel you know when it’s building up.

We only run our diesel forklifts about 2-3 hours a week, never have any issues starting indoors or out, one has stood months at a time, still starts and runs with no problems. You leave a propane truck for long and forget to turn the bottle off and see how cheap it is to run compared to diesel, especially if you drop a fag end. Unburnt gas just builds up at floor level.

fair enough Bri ..... enclosed spaces are always going to be issues ..... as said they do produce bi-products and consume oxygen, but would rather use an LPG truck in a confined space than a diesel. Everything needs ventilation though

as for leaky propane ... summat badly wrong with the system if it leaks ... solenoid shut off valve should do just that and as long as all connections are right, there shouldn't be any leakage, but you're right on the accumulation problem ... propane is heavier than air and will accumulate in confined spaces .... again .. ventilation is key, wherever you work .

Now I have two we don’t even use a forklift for longer than 20 mins a week.

absolutely .... used to tell my guys to use the FLTs, not struggle ... 's what they were there for ... bad backs weren't an excuse for time off with five FLTs and four cranes available to lift with

Now i got the 'Drema and EVERYTHING goes on pallets ..... would have been a great tool to have had in work, able to reach over stuff with forks, rather than slinging with a crane
