Didn't know whether this this should be here or in the laugh thread 🙄
It doesn't seem to worry them when putting the price up, and wait for new stock:mad:
Also the second part highlighted😭

IMPORTANT UPDATE ABOUT YOUR FUEL PRICE

Yesterday the Chancellor announced a reduction of 5p per litre off fuel duty, this will be effective on fixed price fuel cards as from today. This may not be reflected immediately in the prices you see at the pumps, as sites may still be selling the stock they had already purchased at the previous duty rate.

Although this is super news for the transport industry, it comes amidst one of the most volatile times for fuel prices in history and it is important to note the increase we’ve experienced this week on the wholesale market exceeds that of the reduction in duty.

Therefore, it is likely there will be a significant increase on fuel prices next week so, if you would like to take advantage of your current price, please ensure you fill your vehicles before the next price changes take effect.

The price will change at 00:01 on Monday 28th March for all cards except Esso which will change 00:01 on Saturday 26th March.

If I can be of further assistance please don’t hesitate to contact me.

Kind regards

Dropping the 5p looks like a good thing to the general public, but I would guess there will still be an increase coming into the Treasury, after april fools day. And dropping the 5p will be another reason not to reverse the red diesel thing.

When they were already getting over 10p more anyway with the higher prices so they are actually still getting more than pre Putin anyway. Win win for govt.

Panic buying is well underway, no cherry left at the local pump today. I'm going to end up running the machines on white at this rate.
