63p/l +5% VAT, back at end of sept. for 850 L ........ fuel prices are supposed to be coming down not much sign of it though

No sign at all. We were working away in middle of nowhere for 10 days went home Thurs evening expecting to see maybe it had dropped, but nope not budged

Best price for this week (white + vat) is 110.61ppl down aprox 2p from last week, historically I found it normally went up for Christmas/new year week.

filled me tank 'fore the wet sh*t turns to white shite and they can't get down here .... be good for 6-8 months on the tank now ..... use circa 8-ish ltrs a day / 24hrs when it's properly cold

The fuel card prices for white diesel that have come in so far, for next week all look to be going up 2.5-3ppl

It works out same as pump prices but trip to other side of city.

Petrol stations round me are 152ppl. So what can you do

No way would I buy white in bulk - not worth the hassle/risk as it is never going to be much cheaper than the supermarkets. Let them have the risk of it getting spilt/stolen.

What are you going to do come April then?

1000 litres of white is worth less than the concrete breaker or grab sat next to it. the savings in convenience and lads not using filling up as an excuse to skive off more than pay for my tank. Plus you’re sitting pretty in a fuel shortage.

Fill up at the petrol station.
The tractor will do 200 plus litres a day on the mulcher but can get itself to a petrol station for refuelling. Nothing else I operate drinks more than 50 litres a day so can either refuel from the tractor or we take the small bowser in the van to site (which can be filled up at the petrol station).
Obviously it’s a different story for those running big machinery, but as far as I can see small businesses running upto 13 tonne machines don’t really need to store white diesel.
(It might be worth less than other kit kept near it, but it’ll make a lot more mess when some robbing sod decides to drill a hole in the tank and takes what they can carry).

That sounds like big machinery to me! No disrespect but that sounds like half an hour wasted every day with driving to the petrol station, queuing for a pump, waiting for their stupidly slow pumps to fill you, then queuing to pay!
I just leave the diesel tank unlocked, our yard is pretty secure but I’d rather they take diesel than anything else- it’s much easier to replace than kit.
