Archived Petition: Reduce fuel duty and VAT by 40% for a period of 2 years
The Government should reduce the cost of fuel through a reduction of 40% in fuel duty and VAT for 2 years. This can effectively offset the rise in fuel prices since 2020.

Both my fuel cards are down 3ppl this week. One is 123.8ppl and the other is 117.34ppl. Both plus the vat.

Similar here, most cards have come down around 3ppl for next week.

had to cross hire in the PPM ... my 30 tonner had been out on a job for ten days and wasn't pulling it in just for this. The "lil fairy" was my Ransome Rapier HS10 ... great little crane

BBC news article today about how wholesale prices have gone down since Santa brought us a new coronavirus… not reflecting in pump prices. They reckon retailers are making the most profit they ever have, even with increased costs to run the forecourt.

why invest billions when the UK gov. is saying the fuel'll be banned by the time they get it out the ground / sea bed
...yes there'll almost certainly be a world market for it, but the obstacles Shell're likely to face from Boris Plc, et al, are hardly likely to be conducive ...
