Fuel Prices

It's oil I know but had boiler juice update .

Oil prices could become volatile in the coming days following the outcome of today's OPEC+ meeting.
OPEC+ has announced a cut in crude oil production by an extra 1 million barrels per day (bpd), while Saudi Arabia extend a voluntary cut of a similar amount.

For customers, this could cause price volatility for your heating oil top-up. As BBC News explained earlier this year 'Opec+ accounts for around 40% of the world's crude oil, its decisions can have a major impact on oil prices.'

With prices currently at a 3-month low.

My fuel card supplier phoned this week & asked is there anything they could do & I said to sharpen their pencil with their prices & knocked a few pence per litre off & this week they are still £1.20 per litre, I think I might have a ring around a few more card suppliers

this is a bit of a flood gate moment ... and one that HMRC is not going to appeal  " “In the last 24 hours HMRC has confirmed that there will be no appeal to this decision " "

get yer accounts out guys and check how you've been billing/billed for fuel (however - this could go way deeper -- i.e. your customers could well have cause to be looking for returns from HMRC too)

I'd be guessing the blood suckers'll want to keep this as low key as possible ...

TBH it'd appear to me that the customer is the loser not the hirer ??
they buy at 5%, claim it back, charge it out at 20% and give HMRC's VAT man 20% on the returns ..
it's unregistered customers that have carried the can -- by 15%.:mad:
Any hirer buying red in, in larger than 2300 ltr orders, are fools anyway, as it has always attracted full VAT rate at that level.

I`ve not used UKF for months, they still need to sharpen their prices to be back in the running.
I know but they're range of garages takes some beating?
shell,BP,fast fuel which is Texaco and Sainsbury's etc etc. just find them hassle free and they're online platform is handy.
But they seem to insist on being a few p more than others 🤬

I don't know about yours, but mine charges a 1p surcharge if used in a supermarket garage.
I`m lucky that locally there`s a couple of applegreen sites that take both UKF and feyfuels, a shell with HGV pumps and Esso as well, so all bases covered. Applegreen is a bit harder to use down the road, or in the truck at least.
