1. Got a customer withholding £1500 because his valuable airstream caravan sprang a water leak on an existing fitting a week after we connected to the mains.
2. Had a customer call today to book in a boiler at a bungalow. When Lad 2 got there he got redirected to the new pop up illegal travellers site around the corner and asked to connect some illegal gas stuff. He managed to get away and after I told them no thankyou - I just got a load of aggro messages from them. Twats.
3. Lad 1 managed to put a £350 dent in a BMW last week when the wind caught his door.
4. Lad 1 today failed to conceal his newly smashed N/S Electric heated mirror from me.
5. Lad 2 just messaged me to tell me he has clipped his O/S mirror. Sodding heated+electric+powerfold.

The joy’s of building your own empire mate! Weeks like that make the good ones seem sweeter,or at least that feeling when you’ve made it to Friday night without a single f##kup .

They did the usual and arrived and did all the groundwork’s over the Bank Holiday weekend. Lots of enforcement and stop notices going on with council currently. Doesn’t seem to be slowing them down though. It’s only about 4 miles from my shed site so a little concerned at the fact we seem to be attracting the wrong sort to the area. Don’t like stereotyping anyone but given my first contact today was a pack of lies and then border line threats.. they don’t help themselves.

On the plus side , my regular work van finally came back from garage today with a recon engine and new injectors and a new turbo. Not had the bill but expect it will be £5k. Still not sure it was the right thing to do…. But time will tell.

I drove down a road the other day. One that I drive on a regular basis and the whole left hand side for half a mile has been turned into individual plots. Each one about 100m wide with its own new entrance cut through the hedge into the road, all hard standing with close board fence between each plot. It's probably the most brazen I have seen.
Loads of small sites been built around here , anew one every week, but usually single family.

One at a time and small scale, like any change (or migration) it’s bearable if slow and integrated.

Can't hardly bring myself to comment on this thread. The amount of aggro this year round here has been horrendous. Compounded with the crap year I've had etc. It's been unbelievable.

Just one incident that I know about..
They rock up a ifior dealer with a trailer that he thinks had probably been nicked. Absolutely knackered ancient trailer with no markings on it. Anyway, they're pretty much forced him. He reluctantly agreed to strip it and have a look at the brakes etc etc.
He then strips it so rings them and says he needs x amount spending on it.
They then say how do you know? He says I've stripped it like you asked they said oh, if you're stripped it you'll have to put it right as new then safely won't you?. He said no chance I'll just put it as it was. He say no, you can't do that. They then turn up in the yard with caravans a lot threatening. Luckily the police happened to be near and responded very quickly and we're really decent. Basically sat at his yard for the whole afternoon and stood by him and supported him.
But hes a lot of agro since and he's had to put bigger gates on etc They've been patrolling past keeping an eye on him threatening him..
.Just simply put.... how the hell is this happening to this day and age? You'll have all seen my thread a few months back where they basically blackmailed someone. Sorry I have zero time for them. Anyone who defends them has never been affected directly by them in my opinion. You get people saying oh yeah, they're just harmless tinkers and all this sort of crap. Utter b*******

have said before the c***s used to turn up in the car park outside my yard twice a year and it'd take over a month (of sleepless nights) to get the bastards moved on, by the local council --
as said, they should be driven into the sea - thieving, waste of oxygen, scum, the lot of 'em --
zero tolerance, heavy handed, policing is what is required.
If they want the 'rights' society dictates they supposedly deserve, they need to abide by 'society's' laws.
I ****in' hate them with a passion. and make no apologies for it.

like your trailer man, they used to turn up mob handed in my yard with some lame excuse wanting 'a repair' of some description ...
my guys knew to down tools and corral them as they got out of their vehicles, 2lb hammers in hands.
the response was always we're too busy, could be 4 or 5 weeks before we'd have time to look at anything ......

The trouble with it is and I get it the chances and risk of "innocent" people being caught up.

We have multiple murderers in the UK who could go right off the bat..... Known guilt proven beyond any doubt whatsoever. DNA, witnesses and the fact that quite a few are proud enough to spout that there crimes are achievements.... I'd include murders, pedofiles, rapists and people who watch love island in that box.

The cost in dealing with them could be minimal, the annual savings would free up space for those your not 100% sure of.

Fir your next set that you are sure your right on but there isn't the completely watertight evidence, don't worry about facilities, 4x4 box, toilet, shower, desk and books.... No electronics, nothing but basic food at set times, water and soap. The sort of life that anyone who is guilty is going to choose to fully confess rather than suffer but an innocent party will be stubborn enough to ride out. No they don't need outside time or to socialise with other inmates. The only people they get to talk to are trained shrinks.

Lastly low level crime.... Lock em up. Repeated thefts, violence that doesn't include both parties, and accidental manslaughter.....

Druggies should be kept out of prison if they aren't impacting others, likewise there's a whole raft of little crimes that shouldn't even enter the justice system.....

have always said --- prison should be a place no one ever wants to go a second time -- it's a holiday camp for most who end up there regularly

the yanks have the right idea - treat 'em hard ....... and their three strikes and you're out - permanently is bang on - just remove the a-holes from society permanently and make their lives hell - chain gangs, hard labour, all are great ideas.
