If they worked around the clock with multiple shifts you wouldn't mind so much but I bet they barely work a normal shiftIt's beyond bad...like 3-4hrs to get through apparently.
I doubt highways give a ff

the Europeans manage itWorking shifts on work like that is never going to go well. The hand over is far far to much to do between shifts and it will end up a bigger mess than they are already making
had a shock last night went past a job just up the road from me working alongside a main road (building a bus lane for a new estate) and just the little red and white barriers between the road and the job site not even the full size ones the 750mm length ones. it is breheny doing the work and mervyn lambert doing the TMGo to America and see how they do roadworks. Sign up says uneven pavement, then could be 20 mile away could be middle lane suddenly has 2inch more blacktop on it than the rest. Bump up and down off it if you like. You can go 50 mile easy before you catch up to gang laying it and might only be a fella waving a flag to warn you. Now that might be a little too lax admittedly but we are so far the other way. There's so many cones and signs and flashing lights and sweet F A happening that by the time you get to where anything/anyone is doing anything you given up bothering.
I went to Illinois about eight years ago and every set of roadworks there was a sign to say if you killed a road worker through dangerous driving or speeding, it was an automatic seven years in prison.Go to America and see how they do roadworks.
