Mines in the shed but Im still tempted to off load one of the minis and some other bits - chipper/tracked dumper etc haven't used them hardly since the 6t turned up - but sods law took some photos of tree shear to sell and then 2 jobs came in, set to get shut of 1.7t and dumpe then got asked by a regular builder to dig some barns out ready for slabs which will be a nice little job get me out of house when its pissing down ...
Sods law dictates you got to keep everything till the bitter end :)

Well, it all depends on your financial situation of course... but if its sitting around not earning you money then it might as well be turned back into digger tokens so you can buy something that will give you pleasure or more income!
Better in gold than Sterling I'd say.

I could cry when I look at all the junk I bought that didn't get used as much as I'd planned, and think 'should have bought gold instead'

Problem for me is that I know even less about buying gold than old dumpers 😂
In simple terms- Buy British coins of the realm, as these are (currently at least) capital gains tax free. Gold sovereigns or Britannias. Hide them somewhere and don't tell anyone.

Look online for the best prices (the least premium over spot price) I bought sovereigns a year and a half ago at £378 each. They are now £640. It's insane. Very glad I financed for a year on the JCB 86c rather than sold them.

This isn't so much an 'increase in the gold price' as 'fiat currency going down the shitter'.

Silver i think hit an all time high in the last week
I wish I could work out a way to turn scrap copper into ingots that I could then stow away for my retirement.
£5500 of beer/digger tokens on the trailer yesterday, and one was only half full.
