If anyone interested i reckon the duck will be for sale shortly. I love it and has been a handy addition for certain jobs however it's not really suitable for commuting to anything more than the local village and logistically isn't ideal for jobs further away due to having to get a lift back and not being able to carry all my tools with me etc.
Make a great machine for a sawmill yard, farm work though
That lasted less time with you than my backhoe did with me!

Would make a great machine for you if your attention span was longer than half an hour

It's just too damn slow on the road! I live in a remote village, beyond that it's generally 12 miles before I get to another place where work is. so no way I'd want to do all that for a days work and if its left on site I have to get the other half to come out, find me and give me a lift back and repeat when the jobs done. If I could have a duck that went like a 40k tractor it's be a different story.

how deep are your pockets? (and it's illegal un-sprung)
12 miles is an hour-ish -- learn to take it slow :p:LOL: and charge travelling time

That's assuming it goes 12mph though! More like 5 on the hills, then trying to squeeze it past cars in the lanes at 8ft wide. Fine on proper roads but chaos in Devon lanes, plus the tailbacks etc.
Surely no worse width wise than a tractor and trailer

Not really but other than marketplace and a couple of dealers keeping a look out I haven’t been pushing it. I’m still using it so not desperate to sell but it’s not getting used as much as I’d like.
What's a modern duck like on the road. Let's say going up an average hill what kind of speed can it maintain. Mine is deffo only about 5mph on a hill- a cyclist could over take me much to my disgust. No turbo on mine supposedly the newer 295 which the previous owner has upgraded too is only quicker on the hills but about the same on the level

It’s not great on hills to be honest but can usually maintain 20k. On the flat and downhill it can easy sit at 40-45k
