FG Wilson Generator

My 50kv FG Wilson generator is shutting off with overheating indicator sometimes temperature is up to 309 degree. I have checked the radiator and it is imperfect condition. What else should I check or going wrong with the generator?

that's 154 C ..... is the radiator too hot to touch when it shuts down? Is the water system boiling up? ...... could be a faulty temp. sensor? what sort of temp sensor/gauge is it? - electrical or thermocouple -- if thermocouple is the capillary touching any part of the exhaust ? what engine is running it ?
