hi guys, excuse me if every now and then I disturb you and ask my usual odd monthly question, what do you think of the telescopic : Sennebogen 355E telehandler or Fendt T955???
they are mammoth machines, I heard that they were selling a discounted one 195.000,00 € uro, it would not be conven or Sennebogen 355E telehandler ??
they are mammoth machines, I heard that they were selling a discounted one 195.000,00 € uro, it would not be convenient to take a wheel loader with 1,5 2 cubic meters of bucket capacity in its place, okay that it has a lift cabin and the boom extends for 8 meters I think, but I ask that a wheel loader or an excavator type mover with clamshell is more functional what do you think, you who are veterans experts in the sector?

I can't see why you need the expense of an elevating cab on an 8m machine?

I think they where solely meant for waste transfer type places loading bulkers
Pretty pointless on a farm although maybe safer driving down the road with the cab raised rather than 2 silage bale's raised up to see underneath

I think @Smiffy is on the money with loading bulkers, although I dont think it would be that good for traveling down the road elevated. run over a pebble, and it would be amplified a fair bit up in the cab?
At just shy of 12 tonne its not going to be much use off hard ground.
Some people consider a wheeled loading shovel with a hi tip/toe tip bucket a better option than a telehandler for loading bulkers , doing what its designed to do (load) and quicker cycle times (not having to extend/retract boom).

Going down the road was in jest at the farmers flying down the road with bale's in the air. But saying that it can't be much worse than being in the 6t jcbs they make you sea sick
And yes loading shovel with toe tip runs rings round a telehandler

however if I have not read wrong I believe that the aforementioned machinery has the power and driving force of a wheel loader with a 1.5 cubic meter bucket, I believe it has good performance as penetration and tear, paradoxically perhaps it could be used in quarries or on construction sites, for earthmoving use, but maybe I understood, wrongly, surely it is designed for large agricultural companies or large technological industrial plants, I do not know if it is like the blackbird farmer but bigger or like the ten brothers ... I have not seen the comparison of these machines in comparison, perhaps it is a particular exceptional machine with performances out of the ordinary, which cannot currently be compared, am I wrong?

Telehandlers are not a replacement for loading shovels
They don't match the pushing power or breakout force and they end up having a tiny bucket to make up for it.
Telehandlers excel at handling duties.
Light materials or bale's they are quick at on a farm or waste site. And on building sites they have the reach for placing pallets.
For loading pallets off a lorry a forklift is far better for visibility and the big telehandlers with legs can be huge and clumsy

in some articles on the net the performances of telehandlers are exalted by saying that they are very versatile on site and could be handymen, clearly everyone tries to enhance their machinery to be able to place them on the market, in practice you who use them daily, you know their real value and their real potential. the facts matter, not the chatter that the salespeople boast about.

But handy for unloading the whole wagon from the same side 😉
fully agree with using a bucket on telehandlers, painfully slow and they don’t seem to flow nicely on the hydraulics - as they are intended for fork use!

Agri ones are much better than construction spec for bucket duties.

Better but still not a loading shovel
They are great on dung or wheat or the like but show them a pile of road plannings and even the 6t ones shy away

a farmer friend of mine told me that they have little thrust and power in the penetration phase of the soil and they skid the wheels and spin in circles leaving the furrows in the ground.

It would really depend on your particular use case. The Sennebogen 355E telehandler is indeed exceptional in elevating the cab. That would be convenient in a very specific and niched cases, but in general, I think the latter is more reliable and way powerful.
