Extra reach

I have a job to put some fishing platforms on a river bank. Access is limited and lots of trees. I have done some before with the 3cx but it was a bit dodgy as it was trying to slip down the bank. Also I have thought about this before when cleaning pools out and not wanting to put the tilty under water. So have been making this extra dipper. The bucket ram will work from the aux service. The buckets are 1.5 t mini buckets so I can't get to greedy!

What man as done, man can do, what never has, maybe
Looking good(y) for me a few gussets on the quick hitch end to stop it flexing to the side;)
But to be honest if it was me (lazy or lucky you decide) I would of waited for a dipper to come into the scrap and converted that:whistle: saves a hole heap of working out the bucket geometry and well,,,,,,,,,,,,,,work:LOL:

You’ll be surprised what comes in considering it’s only a small independent yard;)

Very inventive(y)

IIRC You are using an EC02 on your 27C. One thing to watch out for is torque multiplication. On the EC02 the maximum recommended bucket width is 900mm and you should be OK with what you have on there, but the extra leverage that the long link will give you could be an issue if you connect the bucket the other way around or the bucket gets stuck under something and you try to lift it out in terms of what the hitch lock can handle.

Good luck with it, though :)

I have got a bit more done today and managed to have a little play. That her limit I can push that bucket down and tip the digger but 5.5 metres across the tracks!

Yes thanks for the warning. It's just for light duty little jobs. I will using it this way round only so it won't overload the hitch lock.
