Electrical cable depth

There are no moving parts in a cable detector so realistically as far as i can tell they either work or not. When you send it away to be calibrated or do it yourself with downloaded programme all you are doing is checking it is working within its design parameters. If you've sent it away to a proper place they will likely fix it if it's not correct which you can't do yourself. If you use cat and genny regularly imho you should know if its working or not.

The minimum depth varies in different places, so there is no universal rule in how deep should electrical wires should be placed. Usually, when a place seems to be susceptible for mass construction, cables are dug very deep to prevent complications. Otherwise, they would be slightly shallow.

I've got the same pair. Pretty decent as far I can tell. Not an expert in these things but has save me alot of grief on many occasion.
