Shut the front door! Really?

I've always said that the Bobcat is extremely well planted, even with the smallish arse on it.

Having seen a TB230 close up I'd find it hard to believe it would twist. What were you doing, any pics? Most importantly, how is the backup?

I’m not sure when exactly it twisted tbh - I was dragging and stacking a load of trees for chipping (which is all the Bobcat ever did, as do my other Takeuchi diggers and none of those have bent!).
A new dipper was in stock at Takeuchi (£1700 delivered next day including vat which I actually thought was pretty reasonable) - I really like the dealer and I do believe they’ve tried hard to get Takeuchi to honour it as a warranty claim but it’s been refused. They said it has a non-approved attachment and was possibly overloaded. (Bizarrely they stick tiltys on them on display at shows but it seems they nullify warranty if used?!).

Bloody hell! I feel for you mate, thats disgraceful. Both the quality and the lack of backup.

Bobcat will do that kind of work all year long as well you know.

I would be kicking up a right stink.

That's appalling. Both that it's done it and that takeuchi don't want to accept it under warranty. assuming something like a large log held at one end may cause quite a twisting force but when I think of all the stuff I've put my 2 tak 3 tonners through which have the same dipper I can only think yours must have a structural fault of some kind although that seems unlikely. Aren't the track motors meant to be pretty weak on the TB230 too?

They are ok, not as good as the bobcat though. It’s a pretty disappointing machine if I’m honest (and I love Takeuchis!).

Shame to hear that. I've never spent any time on a TB230 but always seemed the obvious choice if I was replacing my 2 but not after seeing this!

Mirroring others views, that is poor and you would imagine any decent dealer would deal with it to hush it up( power of social media etc.)
Never bent a Kubota yet🥴
It’s only because the dealer is very decent that I haven’t really mentioned it on social media. I am interested in finding out if this is a one-off or not though.

It might depend on his dealer though. I wanted to swap into a new one and couldn’t get any sense out of any Bobcat dealer within 100 miles, they were all total idiots!
Yeah we have a dealer about 20 miles away never had any dealings with them they haven't been dealing bobcat for that long which is why a brand theyve never really been a consideration- and there last saleman now works for Sany🤦
