What do people think of this quote for a bobcat e19 in what I think is the same spec as @doobin ?
Haven't gone into details about hitch/ buckets yet but I'd be pushing them for either an S30 or nothing, or the cheapest they'll do if they insist on it coming with something.
Seems like a lot of money for a canopied 1.5 but I plan on having it for a long time and using it to start pushing for more machine work.
The finance looks good, with a 10% deposit it'll cost me about 3k over 5 years according to my fag packet calculations. That's about what a 15k used machine would be so much better value. Again that's on site fag packet maths, I'll work it out more carefully at home.
Thoughts/alternatives?

Only over 1 year, 0.25 (i think) over 2 years.
Buy obviously very large payments

Williams price sounds about right compared to yours given the extras he’s added.

Deffo go s30 and go hydraulic too. If they quibble tell them just to fit the hydraulic hitch switch and pipes and then buy a hitch from Steelwrist.

Just before covid I paid 19k for the same spec including a hydraulic hitch. Do you want to come and try mine before you commit to such a large amount for a mini?

Honestly, mine sits around most of the time these days. Domestic work is dead and it’s not much use for my larger jobs.

That said a TB219 with cab and hyd hitch is £24k. But they're basic as. No track pedals and foot pedal for aux controls.

From memory the options are:

Comfort pack- £700 (upgraded seat and the two rollers on the joystick for the aux and boom swing)
2nd aux- £700 (electronic divertor from slew and the second pair of lines down the boom)
Performance pack- £1000 (extra counterweight and larger drive motors)

So bear this in mind when comparing against hire special prices.

That said, the 'full fat' 1.9t mini class do tend to have silly prices compared to a 2.7t machine. You have to really need that size to justify it over stepping up to a 2.7t in my view.

They do seem good value from the headlines in their adverts, I'll try and get a quote, can't hurt.

Was there a Doosan equivalent? Might be worthwile looking into that given the rebrand. Although that would mean no options etc so maybe not

my thoughts exactly .... are the aux.s prop roller operated? and kick 'em to death on including the 2nd aux in price 's only a 6x2 diverter valve if its on change over from boom slew to 2nd aux.

Try hitachi they have been very keen on prices the last 6 months.

Doesn't sound to horrendous price rise wise compared to 2019, I'd rather pay 19 obviously but times have changed I have a quote from late 2020, I'll dig that out, see how it's changed.
A try on yours would be great, I'm down your way for the weekend in a couple of weeks so if I'm still debating maybe we can sort something out

I've got a couple of bigger jobs in the pipeline that are perfect for a 1.5 so I'm happy it'll have a few k of work for it in a short space of time.

The Hitachi are beyond basic in comparison to the bobcat specced above and I don't think there is much in the way of options. Great machines and really well built but they're what you buy for someone else to drive
