Would that still run the pecker/auger or do I need to only have it on the tilt bucket? Or can I just turn it back up for them? Machine only running 20lpm anyway. Easiest place to fit would be to replace the top bulkhead fitting on the boom with a 1/4" x 1/4" then add the regulator and then reducing nipple the QR back on.

He's just suggesting it to slow the flow to the tilt bucket to make it more controllable. Don't use it for anything else.

You can get neat little inline barrel type ones, that's your best bet. Try the bucket first, you may not even need them. The E10 pedal isn't the most controllable thing to start with, a quick stab with your foot might be good enough.

Is that a 1/2" Male / Female? Would be ideal if so as I can squidge it between the fittings. Reading the instructions... would I need 2 of these?

Todays Job. One trip into town to get some fittings, had to use one of our kero fittings to squeeze in between cylinder and frame as very tight. Mocked it up with 10mm plastic pipe then back in town to get it pressed up. (Only a mile away). Removed the welded nut and bolt from the back of the quick hitch and drilled it out for a bow shackle. Bucket feels almost made for the machine as it won't touch the dipper or boom in any position. Bit sloppy on the QH though, so might try fitting some lynch pins on the dipper pins and pinning bucket on direct to see how that feels as well. Its very lively on the Aux Pedal so need to sort the pressure regulator next as others have advised.

What Doobin said is ideal, only need one fitting 👍🏼 only use it on the tilt bucket, once it’s flow is set you can forget about it.

couldn't find them on their website - although I have one from them and the ebay listing is theirs too

I'd have done that with a banjo as it would then be completely adjustable for position and a bit more compact too

as said, only one required - put it in line behind/after the hose QC to the bucket ;)

that looks to be 3/8" steel pipe ... the flow reducer needs to be on the bucket hose (between it and the QC for the bucket)

Yes I'm upto speed on that one now. A quick scan of instructions suggest it's only restrictive one way? The ebay one will fit nicely .

Didn't have one of them 😕 and neither did suppliers.
keep an eye on your elbow as it's 'loaded' by the hose, which will be constantly moving and will tend to slack the elbow off
did they not have a banjo adaptor either ? banjo to male adaptor like on this cylinder ... very handy to have a couple sat about

once set it can't 'magically' open up for the reverse flow - it will restrict in both directions -- it's basically a needle valve and seat, in line instead of across the line of flow

Remember my dad telling me he had a new forage harvester with a hydraulic adjustable head, from new it moved full speed - three grass everywhere completely uncontrollable , the field fix was a washer inline with a bolb of weld in the middle to make the hole smaller, add more weld to reduce flow! Said it worked a treat then 😁

We’ve got a jb one for the e10, thought it was good idea. In reality never use it, it’s too big and heavy for most stuff, it needs lifted into trailer really, rather than thrown in like the rest of them so doesn’t go out to jobs and the odd time it would be handy it would be too much of a Fanny on to go back and get it that you can do with change of angles or spade for the odd bit. Think Giles nailed it above really.
Do you really need it? I’ve got tilts for my 1.5 ton and 5 ton and very rarely use them can with blade on machine alter base angle enough to do near everything I need too.

Their heavy can’t be man handled like normal buckets and heavy on machine, using foot pedal to control them is inaccurate and faff least the 5 on joysticks.

They’re not robust to throw in dumper etc have to watch hoses etc

Certainly wouldn’t want one on e10,dx10 with such low load height as it

This one not much heavier than my grader, can fill it heaped with anything and still won’t lift a track

Still liking the scandi bucket — only comes off for trench bucket. Knocked up a better beam for it to try last week. Cut a 14mm x 700mm slot in a scaffold tube and it slides on to the bucket nice and tight. Ratchet strap currently but a couple of welded eyes will Improve that. Ideal for scratching around the 803 over the top of the recylced hardcore ready for compaction. Don’t think a proper levelling beam would work very well on E10 as it has such a tiny envelope.. at least with the round bar I can use it on the full reach. Cheap and cheerful.
