Dx10 vs tb210

So I’ve a few jobs coming up where a smaller than 1.6 ton will be handy, ive talked myself out the Kubota option despite running kubotas so I’m tempted but he orange dx10 or the Takeuchi Tb210

Appreciate the takuchi is 730mm wide vs 710mm of the dousan.

Got calls into main agents for some prices and availability just waiting on reply, hoping to get other to @hiluxman to have a go on his dx10/e10s

few videos Ive watched ppl don’t like the expanding dozer blade on the dx10/e10, the load over height isn’t great. Can you load a 1 ton dumper?

So any opinions etc

The taki is big for a micro which may be better for you if minimum width isn't vital. Loading height won't be an issue with taki either it's not pretty but you can load a 6 ton dumper with one if you're desperate. Try one though, the most boring machine I've ever sat on. Absolutely nothing wrong with the performance as such, couldn't knock it, possibly slightly slow on the slew but I'd rather spend a day on my 108 at least its entertaining.

I did have comparison on the tb210 brochure bit must of binned it, think there is around 300mm in dump height and 100mm in max ground reach in favour of the tb210r and the E10/dx10 has around 50mm more dig depth.

Dx10z isn't 710mm it's realistically 720mm at an absolute push as the way the side handles lock down is slack by about 5mm a side, so unless you can pull them both in at the same time and magically use the track levers you won't get 710mm but it is true zero tail

Tb210r is 750mm and reduced tailswing so there is some over hang but it's at least 10% more powerful for arm and bucket force than the E10 ( E10 similiar to the old tb108)

Dx10 will load a 1t terex hi-tip dumper off the deck and over the higher part of the skip without needing the crush material against the dipper, dozer blade add-ons are utter crap and find they keep getting caught if you dig in close, especially once they have a bend in them better drivers might not have the issue but it's there. Boom will catch the grounded blade if digging near max depth

No idea on the Kubota but it's 750mm and no longer has them stupid controls that pull down from the front

Apparently the geometry is spot on. I'd like to try one, but realistically I think I'm better staying with 710mm.

If you won't need 'true' micro, just less than a 1.6t, consider the Eurocomach! Piston pump and one or even two aux, on rollers along with the boom slew! On top of that, leg room and even tracking pedals. The trade off is that it's 790mm wide.

If I ever go for a larger micro it'll probably be that.

I had a tb210 that a customer hired in for us. And it's the most uncomfortable thing I've sat on. The fact that the control pods on the e10 stick out when in normal position makes for a so much nicer thing to sit on. Ps I ain't a big lad, a gust of wind n I blow away . There was a few other bits I wasn't keen on either but it did everything we asked of it.

My money stays with the e10.

Robustrack did have some of the Eurocomach micros in stock, they were pushing £19k mind but a lot more machine for your money.

I was quoted 14.8k and 15.25k (man hitch) back in may for the u10-5
That's a fair leap in just under a year

Seemingly prices are higher but when you consider specs not enough to say they are pricing themselves out the market but either can't establish a dealer network or find a dealer who will push them. Something just doesn't add up imo.

I was in the same position as you last year giles. Had a few jobs coming up that the 1.8 wouldn’t fit into.

I originally started looking for second hand machines but quickly found there was very few to choose from and any that I did find were completely wreaked and needed money put into them before I could use them. Decided to look for a new one and enquired about a takeuchi who took (three weeks to return my call) bobcat yanmar and a sunward. although most quoted me a price none of them could give me a delivery date.

I ended up buying the airman (exact same as hitachi) looked at it in the dealers yard done the deal (which was less than the others except sunward) and collected it the next day. I got the machine with a manual quick hitch but the pickup on it picks up my 1.8 ton attachments so I didn’t have to buy any buckets and can share ripper toe,grapple,brush etc… I had intended to share rockhammer aswell but when I got it my 1.8 ton hammer was pretty heavy so I decided to buy a new micro hammer for it just for peace of mind.

So far it has done everything i’v asked of it. I have loaded a 6 ton swivel dumper with it and it loads my Terex 1 ton no problem. As far as I can remember it narrows to 730. The only thing I don’t like is the levers. Although they are servo controls there out in front instead of along side and on along day it can get uncomfortable. But I just take my man up pills and get on with it….

Might have changed since I enquired, but seemed happy to just be concentrating on the attachment side of their business.
Maybe with a smaller dealer it's the hassle of getting kit sorted if it's 2 or 3 counties away.
It's the opposite of the influx of Chinese machines we are seeing lately with sunward, sany, xcmg plus all the other Alibaba specials the first three personally are not that much cheaper to take the punt but always that lingering issue of a lack of backup

I've never had the explanation from him of what went wrong yet. I think he briefly had 2 or 3 out for demo and maybe had them at a show or two and then back to menzis only. I was starting to look into new 8/9 tonner at the time of him having them, i neither pushed him for much info neither did he seem too bothered either. He did think a lot of them though to be fair, but like i say something just doesn't stack up.
