You’re right. Cat had a design agreement with Mitsi when they first wanted to get into the market. There was sharing of technology and some Mitsi models were badged as cat. The 215 up were Cat machines with some Mitsi design input, the four smaller machines were badged Eders. The smaller machines were quite different designs, having foot controlled swing brakes. All of the Cat machines now are Cat designed and manufactured, I think the exception being the 300.9.

I drove one of them for a while when I moved up here . I think from memory they are an Eder badged Cat

Pretty sure mine ended up in Inverness about 15years ago. I sold it back to the guy I bought it off, who then put it on eBay a few months after. And he ended up delivering it all the way up there from Gloucester.

There’s a few about up here . They were popular because there was a Cat dealership in Muir of Ord . Finnings had been here for generations so having a local dealer helped the sales and popularity . Yours arrived after my time on one as it was 26 years ago . There is one at Tore that I pass every day though !

I think the 6-8 t cats and smaller were built by Mitsubishi when they were introduced .

Not sure, I’ll find out when I get back to work. We’re at sunny Mudeford until Friday. Did Stonehenge and Avebury. That barrow at Avebury is some muckshift, looks like about 15000 cube dug out and piled by hand. It actually moved me in a way that Stonehenge didn’t. Too English Heritage for me. Apparently it took 1000 years to finish as they kept changing the design. Think the same crew worked on HS2.

Think I’ve decided to go no cab - the extra cost for the little use it will get isn’t worth it for us, we go home when it rains anyway!
So I’m in the lookout for an extremely tidy pre dpf or anything up to brand new , I’ve yet to find something that meets my unreasonable standards!

I desperately want a pair of these or similar. But noone makes them for lanky people. Next best is bib and brace but the waterproof bib and brace from Englebert Strauss is over 200 quid.
And I do t go out in the wet nearly enough now to justify that. It would pretty much be for working on the landrover.

Pulsar was the worst waterproof I`ve ever had, I won`t buy another.

It's ok. The new range pulsar life is better than the original stuff.
The waterproof jackets last about a year. Basically about this time every year everyone puts in a request for a new jacket.
I wouldn't buy it myself but it is a thousand times better than what I've been issued in the past.
I still want a waterproof set of overalls. In fact I would just like a pair of overalls full stop. They just don't make them big enough.

I'm the opposite a short arse all the legs are huge and a small is usually too tight across the chest can't find any either.

That's the reason I like Snickers gear it actually fits me

I've been happy with my Portwest gear and been out in some pretty shite weather with it ...
for the price it is very good and cheap enough not to worry too much about.
their 'long' bombers and salopettes've kept me dry in some pretty torrential conditions. ....
priced well enough to have a few sets so no worries about getting it dry for the next day
Bombers are RT32/URT32 ....
would have to look at the salopettes for their product code?
