Dozer blade

Hi guys not sure if this is where to write this but I’m looking for a dozer blade for a T153FR ton-5.6 don’t really want to spend £2000 for Takeuchi anyone know any good digger breakers as in scrapyards? UK North Devon preferably
Or no somewhere that might be cheaper than £2000

What is wrong with your existing one?

Had mine Re Edged in South Devon for around £500....

Soon sort that out. That's a bit further down the line than mine was (mine had just started peeling).

Good Agricultural Engineers will get a bit of rolled profile made up and refabricate that. £2000 isn't a bad price for a new one though all things considered..... depends how far you wish to go.

I would have thought any welding/ metal work place could sort that out for less than a grand.
Or use it as an excuse to buy a plasma cutter and a big mig.
As an aside, what capacity compressor do you need for a plasma?
I'm going to wire up my shed soon and have a bash at making a thumb.

gonnawanna decent size plate roller to make a new front first ... my Morgan IP rollers'd've pissed it ...... or bump one up on a brake press

Work, once the bottom peels out they soon rip themselves to bits. Normally at about 6k hours tbh on that size machine. Less if it's doing alot on concrete/roadstone.

Yeah maybe, but you'd catch it before you can climb inside

What sort of use does that then ? - never had a blade do that on one of my machines - some of them have done 7.5k hours before they have gone.

bulldozering.

Namely bulldozering on hard.... Scraping concrete will do it as well as granite aggregates (devon and cornwall have a lot of those)......

Pushing out tree stumps will also do it. Once the blade gets thin they will soon pop themselves to bits..... Actual bulldozers will do the same with blades needing to be skimmed periodically. Takeuchi's are probably the worst for it though.... Kubota have a nicer blade design.
