Double Wackerplate woes

DPU 2540 went down Friday cleaned out water separator, new fuel, blew priming line through still no luck. Can't find fuel filter in the tank tried fishing with a wire whilst empty and looking inside but no luck. All help gratefully received

Then today our cheap 1 bought about 6 years ago started making a funny noise from the housing that the belt connects to.
On the front of the housing is a bolt that appears to be a plug, does anyone know if maybe this should have oil in there?

I'm guessing mine is down inside the tank then as it's not been attached to the cap since we've had it.
I'll have another look in the morning

the filter on my ped. roller is screwed to the fuel tap outlet inside the tank ...... which is a PITA to do anything with ...... have to empty the tank, remove the tap's large boss it's screwed into and withdraw the filter to unscrew and replace it
that's a better idea ...... as long as you can find it, of course
