Dipper ram dropping

trying to get my digger into good shape. Cat 301.5. All serviced changed bucket bushes and working good apart from one thing. Dimmer ram drops on its own. Seems to have plenty of power to dig and no signs of a leak. Could this need new ram seals? If so where would I get them in uk? Thanks

Does it have check valves on the hydraulic lines? If it does then definitely rams seals. If not then could be your spool block that's passing

Dropping while running. Drops within 30 seconds. Not sure if it has check valves. I’m guessing they will be easy enough to see.

They don't have check vales fitted as standard.

When you say drops in 30 seconds, how much do you mean?

When you say drops is it from both out and in? And does it drop to where it hangs plum, or does it keep moving to the other end of its stroke?

If you put the dipper up in the air, turn the machine off with the dead man lever down does it drop? And when you raise the arm engine off does it drop?

Would be very frustrating trying to read that wrapped around a pipe and no doubt lead to errors. I'd much rather spend a tenner on a pack of coloured ties.

I'd have no chance of reading them.
Just a few different colours and also used with blacks/whites in conjunction'd give you a huge combination of IDs
