We got this last year. Probably the same as the brand you mentioned

I dont think the lumag numbers are that great on paper im afraid. There is a tale that they tested them on concrete? lol.

Had no objections for the ones we sold and would welcome any tests in our yard by anybody if you was serious. For the ones we have built and used on various yard projects they do not seem bad at all

I would be happy to sell one to anybody on here and if in a week you didn't think it was good for you give you a full refund if you paid the post.

I see Ross has a few going out at the moment, I’d allready got my eye on this.

I picked this up locally yesterday, from a different seller. It’s ex-hire but will only used a bit here and there so not daily use.

I'm now undecided about whether one'd be an improvement over me roller ??:confused:
Figures wise that 485kg one I bought has the same compaction force as some 3t rollers no idea on frequency but it puts down some weight

@V8Druid I sure the one that Giles has has double the compaction of mine, if it's similar to the other 750kg ones I've seen it has a compaction rating of 100kn

Had a quick try out in some type1 I’d compacted with one of my smaller plates, this is in another league. It is a fair bit noisier mind so got to be careful about upsetting the neighbours

You'll not get as nice finish with a Wacker compared to your roller it'll always leave a odd line behind it and won't drive any little humps out like a roller will.

That looks like a nice plate it would be the one I'd choose given a free choice 👍

By and large they will all achieve the same thing by varying the rise and doing more passes so if your happy stick with what you have got
A pedestrian roller from memory is suitable for 100mm rises in most materials, so stick to 100mm and 4-6 passes per rise and I doubt you will see enough difference from a plate to warrant the outlay.
