Hi I have a diesel
Pressure washer in the workshop it won’t start without a jump pack new battery fitted all filters renewed runs fine when started

Is the new battery man enough for the job, are the terminals making good contact is it fully chargEd.
is it winding over with the new battery ?
I put a new battery in my kubota this year and it’s been a little madam some times , I think I’ve stretched the terminal and it needs a wiggle sometimes to get her to fire

What’s the condition of the starter motor, it may be tired an not quite turning over fast enough on one battery

If something is smoking then what? If terminals then too much resistance there.

Or if you mean the diesel smoke then not turning over fast enough. Again too much resistance somewhere if a new battery.

When you jump it, where are you earthing it? A bad earth from starter to battery can also cause this.

Hi sorry engine is smoking a little once been started it starts again every time jumping off battery terminals

Might be worth testing the glow plugs - if they aren’t doing the job it’ll struggle to fire up from cold.
