Anyone know anything about these. Few years ago I had the drum bearing done inside the barrel. It seemed like the barrel has play in it. Wondered if there was a bearing at the back that was wearing out.

We had a Parker Little Giant a long time ago and I’m sure I changed a bearing at the back of the drum where it joins the yoke.

have had a few Parkers over the years ... great mixers, but never had to touch any of 'em - just crank, run, wash and repeat

Yeah like this one. But it's making noises now and again. Expecting it to go bang

i got one ,it got a bit noisey ,took a link out the chain ,quiet as a mouse

Yeah, IIRC it's all rather straightforward.

Remember doing one with my father when I was a nipper with nothing more that a couple of stillsons, a few blocks of wood and a club hammer! As he liked to remind me, he was a builder, not an Engineer. All the more ironic as my grandfather was a master guilds steam engineer.
He bought the genuine bearing from Parker agent, but daresay it was an off the shelf standard item. Possibly tapered, I don't recall now.
Drum basically dropped out and bearing was easy enough to drift out and in again without a press.

As Graham has told me on pm. Thrash the shaft out and remove barrel then strip and replace bearing

I had a similar issue and turned out the fuel filter was clogged up—worth checking before going deeper. Mine also ran rough until I cleaned out the tank sediment.

240v or 110v?
