CSCS Card help/advice

Evening all,
As I have posted about a couple of times I have a 'second job' installing acoustic enclosures, basically steel sections and panels.
Obviously this takes us onto a fair few 'proper' building sites with RAMS, PPE and inductions etc so we really need to have cscs cards.
Problem is none of us have a suitable qualification, despite 90 years of site experience between us, and being bloody good at it. We used to all have a card, but they closed the category that applied to us about 8 years ago- acoustic and vibration control installers, appropriately.
Since then we have been winging it/blagging it, but it's going to come up and bite us one day soon.
Obviously we need to take the H and S test, in fact all 4 of us did that last year, but on its own that's not worth anything really.

Any suggestions/pointers as to how we get the cards would be really helpful, thanks.
(Please don't say ignore it, it's just a money making BS scam, we're well aware of that).

You need to find an nvq category that can as near as possible for you. Then take the health and safety test and apply for a skilled worker card.

Might as well get another ‘skill’ and get tested on that. You’ll have to pay for a day in a classroom anyway so may as well come out with something new imo.

If your a close knit team , couldn’t you all take slightly different categories which overall covers you above and beyond?

they must have put the category they closed into another one, if they didnt surely an enquiry to them would be the easiest option to be sure you were covered.
