Crusher buckets

Thinking of one for the 3 tonner.

We dont have loads of demo but when we do I hate seeing potential hardcore costing money to be mucked away.

Reading the BAV site they saw you should get the machines weight an hour in crush. So 3 would be plenty.

Any recommendations?

Had a look at some 10 years ago and they where painful so went for a TCP crusher.
Have a look at Baughans bucket crusher as it is a bit cheaper than the BAV. Also RSL has made a few and he might be worth having a chat too.

Good thread, if I can find the time to go to plantworxs it's one of the things I want a close look at.
I what way are they painful Shaun?
I've used a red rhino and found it less than great, how do you rate the tcp?

Painful as they where so slow!! The TCP outperformed all the crusher buckets on the material we had. It was particularly hard concrete lumps!! The buckets are great for processing brick, block and concrete as long it is only 100 to 150mm thick. We found that the hard stuff would jump out of the bucket on a couple that we had demonstrated!! It was quite a few years ago so they might have improved!!

That's good info Shaun, most of our stuff is off small building/landscaping jobs, brick,block & flags mainly.
I've got to say I really like the look of the bav, need a demo/hire for a day to have a f**k about with one really, £5k is a bit much to spend to find out its shite and not bother using it.

I think the Baughans bucket was under 4K when I asked last year. Be careful with whatever you go with as you might get foot ache on the pedal!!

excactly, this is what I'm looking to do, try it for a couple days and see if its any good.

No foot ache on the kubota aux flow is on joystick rockers so blob of blu tak to hold the rocker down and job done!
