It's alright I think this forums for experienced OPPS. These companies prey on people they can convince to part with £6000 and two weeks of there time for a "novice " course

Trouble is it's not even that, it's a case of them taking a few hundred quid and giving them a dodgy license..... said op then goes on site and is a risk to everyone else.

will hand that to the relevant dept. assistant in the morning ... many thanks DWP (y)
You are welcome as always and we thank you and your colleagues from our department to yours for your hard work in 2021 and look forward to another year chasing fraudulent bounce back loans people are stupid enough to post online about.

I think there is little difference tbh.
Working with someone from the all singing all dancing 2 week course got lifting OPPS the lot. The amount of basic things they have neglected to teach is ridiculous. Simple things like boom position when tracking up and down slopes, even which direction to track up and down a slope, and has been told he is fully trained. Spends most of the time stood around with a right face on as one of the ground workers have chucked him out the cab

Any idea where you can get these hooky licenses? I might treat myself to a ticket or two?

Let me know if you do James .... could do with summat to replace my old CITB ones .... ba***rds won't renew it without spending yet more money with them .... and a few extras'd be handy

I agree.... But until they sort the Parasites they won't slay the actual beast. TBH the actual idea of the tests are right..... way they are carried out often leaves a lot to be desired.

It's no different to driving tests or indeed every other type of test in that if you made them actually sort the wheat from the chaff to many people would kick up a fuss when they realize they are the chaff and the test would take days.

Your idea of a portfolio is probably best but would rely on site managers being competent enough to sign of on an operators work.
