and if people don't behave sensibly they WILL lose it. 's called martial law (droid control) .... As said " we're all of reasonable intelligence here " and consider others .... sadly the same can not be said of a very large percentile of the general population :(🤬🤬
Got to disagree there, all this do as your told is getting too much, current statistics are based on ...'deaths due to any cause within 28 days of a positive covid test",now to me ,stepping out in front of a bus, getting knocked over n killed, got nothing to do with covid, but will be registered as such?
Since start of national lockdown, been working with people who don't give a flying....largely,and they're all still knocking about?
All these demos down here in London, not like the winter of discontent, yet,by the way Witty lol n Vallance, both who have connections to large pharma, go on,should be a zombie apocalypse by now, life much as normal in london, wonder if a reason for no lockdown or tier 3 down here, that if as I suspect it wasn't observed rest of country might wake up?

TBH Lynchy, not a great advocate of lock down ... simply saying respect other peoples' space and observe distancing, instead of folks hanging round others' necks in the pub/club/whatever.
the moment hospitals start turning folk away or locking their doors, 'cos they're full, there will be anarchy ... all the powers that be are trying to achieve is preventing that situation ..... and if people can't behave and do as they're asked .. what else can they do??????

Those that are vulnerable or worried stay out the way and let everyone else get on with it. Survival of the fittest, its nature after all (even if it is from china, CHI NA)

PHE has been counting all deaths in people who have laboratory-confirmed infection – this is technically robust because it does not require a judgement to be made about cause of death. ONS reports deaths where a doctor suspects COVID-19 as a cause – these data include a clinical assessment as recommended by WHO but are subject to variation in clinical judgement as to the cause of death.

Proof of what?
I'm asking if it's true that a person hit by a bus gets listed as a covid death or just a rumor. Is that y'all's official policy or something a neighbor told you? I really don't know.

If they have had a positive Covid test in past 28 days then yes!!! I seem to remember the reported original case was someone run over 3 months after Covid test. The 28 date rule was brought in around the beginning of September and lead to something like 5000 deaths being deleted from the total.
I saw some figures yesterday for the past ten years death rate. This year has still not beaten the highest year flu season. Still think there is more than we are being told. Probably to do with limited immunity which would mean this going on for a long time. This is basically a cold virus and we haven’t found a cure or vaccine for the common cold yet!!

I've been told by more than one person who has had an elderly relative in hospital with an illness other than covid, that if they were to die in hospital it would go down as covid regardless of whether they had it or not. This may not have been the case from march until now but certainly seems to be whats happening in any hospital during periods of time when they are treating a lot of covid cases.
We'll never know truly accurate figures but I reckon 100% covid 19 only deaths are probably pretty rare.

I agree with you on this but you have to consider over the years/generations we have built up an immune system that is effective in fighting the common cold viruses but with this new one there Is no immunity for anyone and can quickly overcome nhs which is the only reason we have these restrictions.
imagine turning up at the hospital in your hour of need only To be told no room at the in, you have to fend for yourself 😳

The trouble is every year since I can remember the NHS has told us they are on the point of collapse, have run out of beds and need more money. Are we actually in a worse situation now given the Nightingale Hospitals don't seem to even be fully utilised?
If from now on every time there is winter flu ie. every year we will by their logic have to have a lockdown. In bad years flu has killed tens of thousands and there were no restrictions in the past.
Lockdown doesn't seem to work or we would be back to normal by now. We are now being warned a vaccine won't work, so maybe doing the same thing and expecting a different result is not the best way forward. We need to try something different. I would go for shielding the vunerable (if they want to be shielded) and the rest of us carry on as sensibly as we are able.

And now talk of another lockdown, maybe as early as next week? That wont go down well, although the list of exemptions is almost bigger than the rules to stay at home. Pub can open for "food" Schools stay open. Work from home unless you cant etc. Doesn't add up to me if they really wanted to stop the virus.

Conspiracy 🤔
Funny u say that I'm not a fan of conspiracy tosh but this is something I can't figure out..got a feeling were all been fed what folk want us to believe and it's been taken hook line and sinker by the masses.
There's seriously poor old folk that will never leave their houses again...😲
Be a fascinating study in years to come...🤔

the problem with that is that the masses won't allow them 'the room' they need Gaz .. still have to live/shop/etc. .... the biggest issue as I have already said is, folk abiding by the advice ... they ****ing don't  ... those shielding are going to be pretty smug when the hospitals start turning ppl away

But what can you do. Lockdown and screw the economy. We've got to get back to a more normal and just try and give each other more space. Leave pubs open for example, if you don't think it's safe to go in don't go in. You're never gonna get people to follow it all we're a largely selfish breed humans.
