Had 3 days off this week as the weather wasn’t great. Used it to get on with the screen repairs. Other than that, lockdown, what lockdown! only 2 of us on site so cracked on as normal!

in the last week we've gone from the odd plane over us in a day, to in excess of a dozen commercial jets, at altitude, flying East/West daily ..... nothing like normal ... but a drastic increase compared to previous weeks, considering no one's supposed to be flying about ????

Loads of sites open or in process of opening next week I've been told and roads deffo busier this week...think folk just using common sense...either that or last months pay packet has run out...

We are indeed in strange times. I understand that some people with underlying health problems should and need to be careful. But....I have just watched the BBC news and the south London overcrowded poor that have a higher death rate.....we’ll get real...Graham aka V8druid....you are doing the right thing!!
South London looked like lockdown didn’t exist! The poor are being greatly affected as they are generally in close cramped living conditions in which any person to person pandemic disease will have a quicker spread rate compared to some bloke welding in his own backyard with no social contact apart from this forum!!
I am becoming concerned that the lockdown of the healthy “95%?” Is going to cause more damage than the virus.
As someone on the BBC just said, following the science based evidence can be flawed if the science based evidence is flimsy.
Message to Mr Ferguson at Imperial College who predicted 250 000 deaths on his computer based modelling.....your modelling is like stomach....whatever I put in....s**t still comes out!!

well this is Ferguson's third fk up with his modelling ... CJD, foot and mouth and now Covid 19 ...... and he is still being listened to
..... however ... this virus is killing people .. in large numbers .... nothing like his predictions .... BUT .... without the current measures in place, it could well be the BIG issue is going to be WTF is going to happen once folks're 'let out' and all the fear / anxiety is forgotten and they'm shoulder to shoulder again

Currently working on big job,the London to 'Brum one,no names no packdrill,just machine work,only bout ten guys on this part of site,one way system in offices,sanitize machines start n end shift,cleaners constantly going round,no travel on public transport,amazingly for London,free parking in nearby car park,think because it's such high profile job they want to keep it going

They absolutely aren't. The media aren't comparing apples with apples. UK hospital deaths are now in the 400s being reported daily and actual deaths on each day lower. Peak was April 8th. I can't believe the media aren't saying there are 400 hospital deaths and 300 care home deaths. Well I can they want to sell news.The last couple of days, the death figures seem to be going up again

That’s because there’s more to this than is being told. The government know more about what’s going on than they are letting on, and I don’t blame them for not telling the whole truth. This is modern day warfare, biological warfare. Covid 19 .....the perfect weapon

I don't know what it's like elsewhere but unless the government put something else in place every one has given up on the lockdown round here
Roads are busy, beauty spots are busy with picnickers
Gatwick is dead though lines of airplanes on the tarmac and nothing in the sky
Oh and everyone seems to have forgotten how to use the roads the standard of driving today was absolutely shocking today
And then random people walking down the middle of the road cyclists in long processions not letting anyone pass

Spreads to everyone, Mortality rate is higher in people with underlying health conditions and old age, and has such a long incubation period that despite being f****ng easy to kill with disinfectant it spreads through contact no bother to many people per carrier...
Perhaps not the perfect weapon, but perhaps the ideal population thinner for a country that recently had to change it's policy on the allowable number of children
Perhaps i'm a cynic.

The 'perfect' weapon would disable the young n fit,injured/ill/incapacitated take up more resource than dead,leaving the older folk unable to cope,also remove the work force so economic resurgence would be impossible
