Talking of police, there was a recording on bbc of the 999 call from the guy that had his quad stolen...by the scum who then dragged and killed that copper a few months back. Makes you sick...sums up the situation. In short protect yourself...the woman on the other end was asking the poor guy if he could see what weapons the thugs had!!!!🤬🤬 I'm sorry but unless you've a way to fight back the twats are in free for all mode now.
I'm hearing reports of more break ins and stuff round here now....and the police are busy delivering food.. FFS

Seems to depend on the force, but they don’t help themselves by picking and choosing which crimes to investigate. I can’t remember a golden age either, they were as bad in the 70’s and 80’s, though to be fair they were more visible - couldn’t hide behind computer screens, speed cameras and drones.

Welfare unit sorted for the local cottage hospital as the rest area for the nurses is likely to become extra beds.

CBL saltash really played a blinder, can't thank em enough!

A friends bloke had his house broken into last week while at work. Ransacked house and broke into his gun cabinet and took his shotgun (left some sort of rifle behind I’m told)
Police/s.o.c/ cid attended but have basically left them to find their own evidence.....he’s found cctv that has 4 kids that look about 12 riding off on bikes with the shotgun!!

The police have themselves to blame for 70% of the loss of respect. From 4'6" plodettes in full makeup and nails , OTT political correctness, motorist harassment, dancing coppers on twitter to the scruffy omaha beach type combat 'uniforms' they wear. Donkeys led by Clowns. The remaining 30% have my full sympathy no wonder they retire early, hard to imagine what a copper of the 80'thinks s seeing whats been done to the police. They have lost respect of the the current 'young' generation and are seen as joke, just have to look on social media at the interactions. No respect at all.
Well I think you’ve hit the nail on the head there, and having spent the last week with them, they really do have there hands tied. And while this next generation are getting softer and softer, the criminals are getting sharper and sharper, and more brazen than ever.
There are some good'uns as this last week has shown, and the parting words from one of them was “we’re not all bad”.
Suppose it’s the same as most things, you only need a few to tarnish the rest.
