Google ‘exif orientation’ for your software.Mine does it from my MacBook as well. I tried turning them 90 degrees but made no difference, I then tried turning them 180 degrees and they came out upside down

Seems a very short sighted way to do business. It is not like they are really putting themselves out and I assume you were intending to pay for it.
Sooner or later they are going to want you to do a quick lift or whatever for them and will probably be upset when you tell them where to go or charge them double.
