From a reliable source in a major NHS hospital. Guidance issued today to be prepared for the worst. Emergency isolation ward being set up with clear guidance on procedures for Treatment. Bear in mind the only treatment for those in severe cases is a ventilator. So the guidance, no one over 70 gets a ventilator, ventilator goes to the youngest that requires it, even if that means taking someone older off the ventilator. How f***ed are we, who yet knows!! Just heard that a friend of a friend has got it. Pretty sure that we are going to see a mass escalation of cases in the UK. The map showing where cases are now in the UK means someone near you has it. Italy was very concentrated in the North hence there drastic action. We will either explode far worse than Italy or flatline. My wife’s Italian colleagues are very concerned for us!!

World Health Organisation has said that Europe is now the epicentre. We are reporting more cases per day now than China at the height of its peak. Worrying thing about that statistic is China population around 1.4 billion. Europe is about half.

Wife has just told me that I am on the at risk list as I take high blood pressure medication. Let’s see how it responds to alcohol!!!!

My girlfriend is a trainee teacher, her uni has gone to online learning and the school she’s working at are preparing themselves to have to close in the next 2-3 weeks

do it as well as you can,but learn to do it better
If you or any of your "loved ones" get the pneumonia version it is going to be varying from bad to really bad, but for everyone else the virus won't be the problem, it will be the over reaction and panic measures that will f**k the economy if we are not careful. I am not a huge Boris fan, but I think he is going about it the right way, taking scientific advice rather than knee jerk reactions of shutting everything to be seen to be acting.
spot on Gra ..... (y)

The homeowner where I was today either had it or might have it, shops should really have rationed amounts people can buy at one time, not sure why people are buying lots of toilet roll or ketchup 🤔

We are reporting
Isn't a clue in this bit?
Sorry call me cynical but I don't believe for a minute that China reported anything like the true numbers.

But fully agree it's worse than we can probably imagine. Not good when you have a 4 month old nipper. My thoughts are with folk crammed in flats and nursing homes etc.
I've made a few preparations for staying put. Endless supply of milk from farm, eggs etc. Batten down the hatches etc. Prob ott but I've. Nasty feeling about this.

And as they say, the devil is in the detail!!! If China are under reporting it doesn’t make the figures better!!

What has landed on Trumps desk since his “fake news” post on Monday night to the travel ban and now the State of Emergency. Wake up and smell the coffee. All is not as it seems. Not getting does seem to be quite a good option!

not been up my drive in over a week ... will be a couple more, 'fore we need to ... we shop for two/three weeks at a time ... bloody hate it and going into town, especially this time of year with all the usual bugs about .... could probably stretch it out another couple of weeks if we have to .

👍 Controversial I know but I don't see any harm in stocking up, like u say we the same it's nigh on 30 mins to nearest proper supermarket for us so we don't waste time trekking more than we need to.
All it does is show the UKs lack of capacity and how overcrowded we are.....folks double their shop and it wipes out shops....imagine if there was a proper disaster...🙉 Ah well local farms be chuffed with free labour for next few weeks if schools shut...😄

All joking aside but just wait until the supply chains stop due to it...... People in distribution need to be out regardless.... country will be f***ed otherwise.
