For anyone who appreciated critical thought.
Look at this year's deaths from flu.
Then look at the next lowest years deaths from flu.
Then look at corona deaths.
Then ask yourself if the government think we are stupid?!
Relaxation of who can sign a death cert, carry on sir

I think they where referring to this https://www.walesonline.co.uk/news/wales-news/two-week-national-lockdown-recommended-18954481
But it was earlier this week
In one breath they tell us children don't spread it, the next talking about making the half term longer to control spread?
bloody hope not ... Clara's all over me lately .... but can't resist :giggle::rolleyes: .........
think they're considering half term, 'cos it'd only be an additional week tacked on to the scheduled half term holiday week
top and bottom of it is .... 'tain't going anywhere, anytime soon ... all we can do is be as defensive as possible ...... and hibernate  .................... oh and beat seven shades out of anyone within reach .... they'm too close if you can hit 'em ;):ROFLMAO:

flu deaths are bound to be down Jim ... we're all avoiding catching CV19 so stands to reason we're gonna have reduced levels of everything else too

Especially with all the deaths listed as covid you hear about which we're almost certainly not, i wouldn't be at all surprised if a flu deaths are going down as covid.

The thing to look at is excess deaths. The figures are so unreliable for Covid deaths they mean FA!!! More testing means you will find more positives. Hospital admissions slowly starting to rise, as they would normally this time of year.
I think Mr V8 is right to look out for himself. As with anyone else with an underlying issue. The rest of us, crack on and see what happens!!

Given up wondering what to make of the coronavirus!
I just do my thing, keep away from people, I have grown up doing that anyway and somewhat enjoy being away from the outside world.
We don’t live beyond our means and will happily live on beans for a year if needs be, so many people cannot survive without a £200 blow out every Friday night - it’s worrying what people expect these days!

Sounds a lot like us - but lets not kid ourselves (at least for us) its more about luck than good management that we are in a position not to be affected too much by the Virus up to now.

One of the ministers(I think) where on the radio about the possibility, of a mini lockdown when the schools have half term.
Not one to spread rumours, but I'm hearing the same from a couple of different people that both have reliable sources behind them. I guess the thinking is kids are off half term anyway for a week. Missing one week of school for the 2nd week isn't the worst, and its going to be spun as a "save Christmas" lockdown. Short duration to kerb the spread.
I hope construction is exempt! I've got shitloads of work to get done in a school over half term so having a 2nd week would be a bonus 😉

Always looking on the bright side!

But make no mistake about it, this is getting worse not better. Work where you can and hope we can ride it out. I cant imagine what it must be like to be told to shut my business down for any amount of time. Hugely damaging all this, entire sectors could close up - Cinemas already are!

people expect far too much these days as though it is their God given right ... it's not that long ago, in the scheme of things, that folks'd be born, live and die without ever experiencing anything outside of a three to five mile radius of their birthplace. one does not need to go to the pub, or travel 20 miles to shop, or eat out on a Friday night, etc., etc. ... could go on all day, they have merely grown to expect it and consider it a right ... it's not !!

Have heard from many people about a two week lockdown. My eldest 15 year old who’s doing GCSEs next spring has her mocks the week before and week after half term.....

Brutal stuff for them this year . She has already missed so much

Yes, Who the f**k wants to go and que to order overpriced food, sit for a couple hours with delinquent fuckwits and then have to leave.

Same TBH with most of the shops that have gone.... Restaurant wise it's now adapt or die.

I'm not overly keen on any of it. I'd be keen for life to return to normal and f**k the deaths..... But that's me and a opinion I can voice on here.... Yes I have family and friends whom it would be a death sentence for.... One is 85 and told me yesterday that 75 is plenty long enough and theres too many old fuckers anyway.... One is 84 and has'nt been worried since day one... if it's his time, it's time....

But there we go.... Latest suggestion is masks for all everywhere...... And although i've begrudgingly stuck to acceptance that will be a leap too far.

Surely there must be someone somewhere with enough common sense to realise you can't wear a mask labouring 10 hours a day

And I love the way all these people recommend frittering away government money
all these independent body's seem to do it
I mean reusable masks are 2 quid why do we need to start giving them out
