Convert a plant trailer to a box trailer?

Just had a look at the brochure, there is a lot of options and fully customisable. They do a large version with workshop at the back and kitchen upfront 3m x 2m in the workshop side and trailer has around a 2.5t payload (probably not including the kitchen) need to have deep pockets Barlow have a couple listed a bare medium is 17.9k and the have a large 3 horse with living quarters and side storage for 36.5k

I know for a fact Barlow would do you a deal on one. Ask for Tom.

My pockets not deep enough for that
But mega potential for an all in one setup, didn't realise something like that existed. 5.23m long for the large not sure how they would fair with plant loaded in them though

Reason i want a box trailer is i want to get back in to mx/enduro and really dont want a van. Also i would like a one vehicle (sized) solution for moving mini plant, tools,dirt bikes and have the option to camp at mx events.

well your link shows an extrusion and they must've had sh1t in their eyes measuring that - closer to 3mm than 2mm and their drawing shows an RSC (rolled steel channel) profile - never seen an ali extrusion that shape
Aalco are one of the biggest manufacturers/supplier I know of in the UK and were always there or there abouts with their prices ... as far as sheeting it goes, I'd use plain 2mm the 5 bar pattern on the tread plate'll give you all sorts of leak issues

Aalco are one of the biggest manufacturers/supplier I know of in the UK and were always there or there abouts with their prices ... as far as sheeting it goes, I'd use plain 2mm the 5 bar pattern on the tread plate'll give you all sorts of leak issues

For sheeting I have seen a few of these projects go to aluminium composite sheet for added strength in the boards themselves over plain ally

It looks like a variation of the “eventa” trailer. I’ve seen them adapted to motorsport trailers and thought they looked mega, it’s just the cost!

This is our old E10 in a BV105 box trailer, not much room to spare, i definitely think you'll struggle to get the dumper in too. You need 7.5 ft height to get them in with the roll bar up, which then takes up room when folded down.

The Eurocomach is worse, it just barely fits 🫣 and the roll bar is a pain in the ass to fold down

and how do you secure the machines in there Aiden ... can't see the lashing bars (or the Glasron panels they're fixed to) being up to much in the way of securing several hundred kilos of digger under heavy braking or rough surfaces

Ifor do a monster "business in a box" trailer.
Ginormous! Impressive bit of kit but didn't check payloads but seriously could make a lovely setup .two little machines and a nice little site hut/mini workshop up front in a dream world.. Our dealer has one ATM.

Be ace if we could have one for a 2.6t plus canteen

He's Irish, he would get a special commendation for such excessive load security.

So it looks like £6852 inc for 10x5 box trailer. I suspect i would get £2000 maybe for my one in px so if i can build one for less than £4852 ill be winning.
Good birch ply is £200 a sheet.
A quick price up for aluminium looks like it would be around £2500 but that was with a stud every 400mm. Thats probably way over the top.
It was £20 per 2m x 2mm channel.
2mm checher plate is a lot cheaper than 3m

Don’t forget that if you buy a box trailer it will have resale value , whereas your £2K plant trailer will be devalued by you building on it.

Yes i normally put the dumper up the front and then turn it 90°, so that may not work.
Side by side would be 700mm+720mm=1420mm
If its 5'4" deck thats 1624mm-140mm for the sides thats1484mm.
I need another foot.

Wouldn’t it be cheaper and easier to just buy a container to park the trailer et all inside?
