Have you done any good yet Graham. Might have a job coming up in the near future. Breaking out a concrete floor, and won't be able to get big dumper in..... you're as bad as me ..... like a Jackdaw ..... I'll give the guy a ring Dylan, but don't get your hopes up too high ..... he's like us ... collects, rather than parts with ... he's a nice single phase hydraulic power pack I've been trying to pry out of his clutches for some time too
aye ... spoke to him the other day Dylan ..... as I thought - he's no plans to dispose of it, sadly .... I've first refusal if he changes his mindHave you done any good yet Graham. Might have a job coming up in the near future. Breaking out a concrete floor, and won't be able to get big dumper in.
Think I'm going to go back to my original idea for now, till a find a hydraulic tipping trailer.
I've got a old tip skip, must be an old one seems to be heavy duty. Thought i could fabricate a small trailer with draw bar. I've got an old axle with land rover wheels on, so should be tuff enough.
been keeping an eye open for a decent tipping skip for ages ... had a real nice one in work and bloody sold it ... want to make a little flat to go behind the mountfield to carry one, for all Pam's gardening rubbish .... can tip it into the composting boxes with the 'Drema if it's just clipped to the trailer bed ... got all the makings, but don't wanna put anything together 'til i have a skip to build it toSounds like a good plan, you could even make some kind of flat bed for it, be handy for kerbs etc
first one's a real lil' peach @pettsy .... dunno as the wheels are up to the job though ??

I converted a tipping skip into a trailer a few years ago. The job I had in mind was to put sand into heat main trenches so was tow with 1.5 t digger. I can load and unload nicely with the digger. It tips ok but you can't tip in one tump, it tips half out then you have to move back to get the rest out. If I were to make it again it would have wider tyres as 165 13 don't like nearly 2 ton.I have been in contact with the chap. The job coming up is breaking out concrete floor in a building. So any trailer will have some abuse. Will try and modify tip skip and see how i get on
