Have been running a Kioti dk6010 (60hp ish) lets just say its been a bit of bother this year, it works fairly hard on a fairly heavy stone burrier.
Its only 5 years old and sub 700 hours so hardly massive
Looking for some recommendations??
wondering if i need something slightly bigger for the sake of it standing the work better?
Brand change?
Same again just hope this one is a problem child?:cautious:

More than 60hp and you are pretty much out of compact options as you know. I'm presuming keeping it towable is important to you.

What's the issue? Lack of hp for the stoneburier? Stoneburier too wide? Too heavy? All of the above?:D I'm guessing you've got a creep box so it's not excess speed causing problems.

What's giveing bother/breaking?

Im just wondering if i need to leave the compact range to stand the work?
Not that worried about it being towable, even currently towing it isnt much fun or very legal.

Main issues have been rear main crank seal twice, cooling issues, and for its last trick eaten a turbo and ran away. Think we have saved the engine, but just completely sick of it!
Stoneburrier is currently a 1.65m on paper.
Yes its working hard but i wouldnt say i need much more HP, its a fair lump of a thing too im sure sure how heavy tbh

I was even toying with the idea of alpine tractors? plenty of HP small and maneuverable

It sounds like a bad model of tractor, none of those issues are attributable to the stone burier as far as I can see.

Mega money for the high horsepower models, and you can't ballast them up nearly as much as you can a conventional tractor. So if the implement is super heavy it may be a no go on an alpine despite the extra hp. They're also not so good for fieldwork or tight spaces- you might think they are manouverable, but actually they are like a barge compared to a compact tractor with independant brakes.

i agree just not sure if its just that tractor or a kioti issue! Just wonder if its a friday afternoon tractor or if i should go up a size and see if that helps:unsure:
even the likes of a m4063 kubota looks interesting.
