Brake cleaner then a bit of lube. Must of been a year or 18months since last done.

I’ve got both dewalts, a 5ah lasts all day! Bloody brilliant tools, yeah they heavy but if it saves buying gas I don’t care!!

Only problem I say is mine blocks after about 2000 nails... but 5mins in a evening to clean it out is no hardship 👍🏼

Big heavy bastard thing you don’t want to be stretching to far when your holding it ! I just prefer the paslode personally but then the new paslode my mate uses seems heavy to maybe I’m getting past it

What's the clean out job on the 1st fix battery model? The old style dewalt 2nd fix I had lasted a good 5 year was super heavy that baby.

Also of interest you can't get the extended 3 year dewalt warranty on the nail guns. Seems suspicious that they fancy the rest of their kit for it but not these...

I used to have to clean my old nail gun all the time to make it work. I wouldn't recommend the Hitachi one.

dont have to clean mine and its in the crap a lot. for fencing ive gone to air tools and wont go back. dewalt cordless compressor and coils of nails.

still use the dealt for roofing (battens etc) as its ok when you pointing it down. wouldnt want to be doing studwork with it for long. 5ah battery lasts all day. i use the 2ah to keep weight down as its charged in 20 mins anyway.
