clay spade yes or no? experience / opinions

I have started operating for a farm drainage company that use a drainage pipe plow and i dig down to connect the collect pipe and suck the pipes and there are usually clay and peat there dug in and they both like it so well in the bucket so they won't out of it.
Then came the thought of how a clay spade might work better than the bucket we use today which is 70 cm wide
I'm thinking about a clay spade That's between 70 cm and 100 cm wide

They are better than a narrow bucket for the right job, but your stuff might be a bit too soggy to sit on the spade in places?

I'd consider an ejector bucket but they are more money.

I've never tried it, but people have told me it works.

There are a few other variations of how to attach the chains.
