Cheapest towable machine capable to move 1,5 ton

Hy all, just finished reading the 16 page thread regarding multione/avant loaders and it feels like i know less now
So i own a small paving company started to take on bigger jobs so i need something capable to move a pavers
pallet (1,3-1,5 ton max) but still towable.
I thought multione 7.2 could do that as rated in the ballpark but after reading the thread looks like will not cope in real life.
8 series a bit expensive and i suppose Avanats are even more so?
Will be looking at used marked but pretty new to industry so i would really appreciate any advice.
Just pallet and hardcore handler-don't need anything fancy, 4 in 1 bucket would be nice but not deal breaker

7 and 8 series are about the same capacity wise. The difference is in the pump and drive motors but they are the same size machine.

You’d need to step up to a 10 series I suspect.

My 8.4 could just about do a pack of blocks with the back weights and one set of side weights. Now I have double side weights it will probably find it easier but I still think 1.5t would be pushing it.

Definitely get the 4-in-1. Trying to move soil or aggregate without it is like working with one hand tied behind your back.

Multione lift more than the equivalent priced Avants. Their rated lift capacities are much greater for the same £ or even kg model and I’d say they are accurate specs.

Luckily for you I just got asked to move this. No idea what it weighs but I can tell you it’s on the limit and I wouldn’t want to do it every day.

I think the 800 Avant is equivalent to a bigger machine than the mo8. We had one on hire. Specifically for moving packs of blocks. That's an Avant 860i btw. It is a ridiculously large machine longer than a JCB 520-40 telehandler. Whilst it is towable it kind of defeats the object of it due to how big and cumbersome it is. We also had a 750 Avant on hire. This will just about pick up a pack of blocks the same as doobins multiple above. But you can't turn the wheel l. Even the 860 will catch you out turning the wheel sometimes.
I also think the avants are absolute piles a cr*p as dedicated pallet handling machines. Arctic steer is a pain for positioning pallets and lack of rocking rear axle means any uneven ground and you either can't pick the pallet of blocks up or if you do manage you shake them to prices on the journey. And they don't have a foot brake so delicate positioning is unnecessarily hard work in comparison to a telehandler.
They are landscapers and tree surgeons tools. Very good at a bit of everything. But if you solely want them for moving pallets then they are a bodge.
There is a lack of alternatives though. A hooka will carry the blocks but not move the type one and the JCB towable telehandler is unlikely to have any second hand units available yet. Plus I don't know how well they actually carry their load. The Kramer alternative might pick up enough or might not. We've never tried one.

Yeah I'd probably have gone for a multi 1 when I bought mine but at the time there was 1 dealer and after researching they'd been through a cpl dealers in a few years.
The avant will take a pack of blocks up a 30 degree track, view of the forks is not great agreed

you must have a larger engine? My 26hp Multione would struggle doing that. The 8.5 with the 57hp engine is incredible though. Flew up a hill in high range on tickover that I was nursing the 8.4 up in low!

I must find out how to turn the injection pump up. 95% of the time it’s fine and super economical, only running at 1800rpm on the flat. But hills are its nemesis.

It’s a Kubota v1505 that should do 37hp de rated for the emissions bollocks. @Mick-the-fitter any ideas?

TBH I'd not sell it to a stranger as whilst it'll pick that I'd not be comfortable with someone I don't know using it..... You'd soon hurt yourself. It's spoken for anyway.

maybe i dont know just going off what the original dealer told me. whats a reasonable price for this? it still has a few months of warranty left
